Wildcrafted in Marcola, Oregon
Thuja plicata, or Western red cedar, is an evergreen conifer in the Cupressaceae family. It is native to the western North America.
Western red cedar and others in the genus Thuja are antifungal and antibacterial and work on the immune and integumentary systems. An oil or tincture of Thuja can be applied to fungal infections on the skin such as ringworm, warts, STDs, foot fungus, etc. Thuja can also be used in low doses to support the immune system or remedy cold or respiratory infections.
Topically applying Thuja to fungal infections is relatively safe and can be applied until the infection disappears and a bit afterward to prevent recurrence. When using Thuja short term for immune system support, use 10-30 drops 1-4 times daily. Long-term use of Thuja is not recommended as it can cause liver and/or kidney issues.
