Rudbeckia occidentalis is a plant in the family asteraceae and is native to meadows in the northwestern united states from Washington to northern California and east to Montana and Wyoming.
Rudbeckia works similarly to echinanca (both plants are in the family asteraceae) in that it boosts the immune system and helps relieve cold and flu like symptoms. It has also been used as a remedy for parastic worms. Rudeckia can also be used topically on open wounds and bites to prevent infection.
